I've read the book. Its good, very good - u should definitely read it. Shows his thoughts and actions as a non-muslim all the way to Islam. The change is amazing.

Is that the documentary they showed? Was great bro, cried when they show him in his coffin

You're talking about the documentary I saw on Islam Channel? Yeah, that's what I was talking about, and I felt the same way when he was martyred . But I didn't let it out .

Are you talking about non-Islamic biographies ukht? Since this is the non-Islamic Book Review thread you made you know :'). Otherwise, I would reccommend biographies of the Sahabah (RA) as would anyone :') (obviously I would mention the Prophet first, but I know you've read that already), and also biographies of great scholars of the past - like Imam Abu Hanifah (RH). I also hear the biography of the author of "Fazail-e-Amal" is very good, I think his name is something like Muhammad Khandalwi?! Forgot how it is exactly .

Yea, I've read Prophet but as with most things, you forget quite a bit after some time read sections again.

I was asking about any biographies of any Muslims, past or present btw.

There is also the Ash Shifa by Qadi Iyad, that is meant to be the best book on the Prophet . I have it and have read it (though forgot most of it now ), and I'd say it definitely is good. You'll learn things regarding the Prophet you never knew before . Also, the biographies of Islamic heros like Salahuddin (RA) is a good idea to read too. And there is also a pretty detailed biography on Khalid bin Waleed (RA) as he was one of the best war generals in history. Hmmm, you can't seem attach anything or else I could upload it ^^. Dave Pelzers book is no fairy tale. I read half of it then I was like too depressing!

I read those books..but put 'em down midway...too emotional

But I caught up with my emotional side reading Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson and boi...I cried buckets then

oh about Jean Sasson books - man just ignore 'em I've never been as much irked by a book character as I was by Sultana - I abhored her! [I read Sasson's first 2, skipped her third]

LOL, I remember I used to love that book, was really intriguing as a kid. Read all those kids books as a kid except for Elmer and the Rainbow fish books?
