Page 7 & 8.

تمرين (١ - Tamreen (1) - Exercise 1

and,

تمرين (٢ - Tamreen (2) - Exercise 2

This will be your 'homework', you can make a new thread with your name and post the answers to the questions in there, it's very simple to do, like i'll do the first one for you,

ما هذا؟ - hadha miftaa7un - this is a key.

If you do not have arabic font or do not know how to use it then you can use translitiration with the translation.

you have the rest of today and tomorrow (and maybe even sunday) to submit your thread, after that i will give the answers to it and then carry on with the next lesson Insha Allah.

I'm going to try and continue this In-Shaa Allaah.

Just some changes in transliterations, from now on ط will be a capital T, and ص will be a capital S, so that you don't mix the two up.

2: Read and write the following words along with (writing) the harkat of the last letter.

(I'll just do the transliteration since we have passed the meanings of these words, and you can see the Arabic)

Al-madrasatu, fil madrasati, fil bayti, al-baytu, al-ghurfatu, al-7ammaamu, fil maTbakhi, al-maktabu, 3alal maktabi, 3alal kursi, as-sareeru, 3alal kitaabi, fil masjidi.

Read and Write:

1: AT-Taalibu fil jaami3ati – the student is in the college.
2: Ar-rajulu fil masjidi – the man is in the Masjid.
3: Aynat taajiru? Huwa fid dukkaani – where is the shopkeeper? He is in the shop.
4: Al-qalamu 3alal maktabi – the pen is on the desk.
5: Ayna Zaynabu? Hiya fil ghurfati – where is zaynab? She is in the room. (I've transliterated this one as it's written in the book, though when you speak you would say "Ayna zaynab" and not "zaynabu", you will only say "zaynabu" if your sentence goes further and not end there.)
6: Aynal waraqu? Huwa 3alal maktabi – where is the page? It is on the desk.

End of page 22….

Page 23

7: Aynal mudarrisu? Huwa fil faSli – where is the teacher? He is in the classroom

9: Ash-shamsu wal qamaru fis samaa'i – the sun and moon are in the sky
10: Man fil faSli? – who is in the classroom?

Yaasirun – Maryamu

(B) In this lesson you learn that when "al" comes after "min" then it becomes "mina", for example you will say "Min Muhammad" when there is no "al" and not "mina Muhammad", however when al comes then you'll say "minal bayti" and not "min al-bayti", then too you should keep in mind the previous lesson about sun and moon letters, in this previous example "al-bayti" was a moon letter, that's why it became "minal bayti", however if a sun letter is used then it will be "minash shamsi", and the same will apply to the rest of the sun and moon letters.

Al-baytu: Minal bayti – The house: from the house
Al-masjidu: Ilal masjidi – The Masjid: to the masjid

The following is a discussion between the teacher and his student named Muhammad.

Al-Mudarris: Min ayna anta? – The Teacher: Where are you from?
Muhammad: Ana minal yaabaan – Muhammad: I am from Japan.

Al-Mudarris: Wa min ayna 3ammaarun? – The teacher: and where is 3ammaar from?
Muhammad: Huwa minas seen – Muhammad: he is from China.

Al-Mudarris: Wa min ayna 7aamidun? – The teacher: and where is 7aamid from?
Muhammad: Huwa minal hind – Muhammad: he is from India.

Al-Mudarris: Ayna 3abbaasun? – The teacher: where is 3abbaas?
Muhammad: Kharaja – Muhammad: he went out.

Al-Mudarris: Ayna dhahaba? – The teacher: where did he go?
Muhammad: Dhahaba ilal mudeeri – Muhammad: he went to the headmaster.

Al-Mudarris: Wa ayna dhahaba 3aliyyun? – The teacher: and where did 3ali go?
Muhammad: Dhahaba ilal mir7aadh – Muhammad: he went to the toilet.
