Translation help

Full sentence:

Wa laakin yaqaal: tarak al-imaan wa at-tawheed al-waajib, innama yakoon ma3 al-ashtighaal Diddh idha kana kufran fahum ya3aaqaboon 3ala alkufr

If I can understand that, I believe everything else will be easy inshaAllah... =o I just wrote it out... sorry >_>

The two difficult words are spelt الاشتغال yamli says it means engage... and ضده the daal should have a shadda

I have a gist, but it feels like it's a very wrong one.. =P lol It won't make sense just that sentence, it's cause it's a small kitaab talking about who should repent (in first chapter).

so the context is like this


فان جنس ترك الواجبات أعظم من جنس فعل المحرمات، إذ قد يدخل في ذلك ترك الإيمان والتوحيد، ومن أتى بالإيمان و التوحيد لم يخلد في النار، و لو فعل ما فعل

و من لم يأت بالإيمان و التوحيد كان مخلداً و لو كانت ذنوبه من جهة الأفعل قليلة : كالزهد و العباد من المشركين وأهل الكتاب، كعباد مشركي الهند و عباد انصارى، وغيهم؟ فانهم لا يقتلون، ولا يزنون، ولا يظلمون الناس، لكن نفس الإيمان و التوحيد الواجب تركوه .

Now I'm kinda confused on this sentence too.

I think I should try baby Arabic reading books in stead. =P But I will try to get through it inshaAllah


I think you have to read more than that also, because the book is about istighfaar.. okay, and before that bit they were talking about, who should do tawbah.
