Imaam al-Shaafi’i Rahimahullaah said: ‘There is nobody except that he has someone who loves him and someone who hates him. So if that’s the case, let a person be with the people who are obedient to Allaah `Azza Wa Jall.’

PostSubject: Hadith Of The Day.   Tue Apr 19, 2011 1:51 am

Assalam alaykum,
May I have the pleasure of sharing the Hadith on Fear of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, in which 2 companions of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, Abu Dharr and Mu'azz, may Allah be pleased with them, reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi wasallam, said, ''FEAR ALLAH WHEREVER YOU ARE. FOLLOW UP AN EVIL ACTION WITH A GOOD ACTION WHICH WILL WIPE IT OUT. TREAT PEOPLE WELL.'' At-Tirmizi related it and said it is an exellent Hadith.
While commenting on this Noble Hadith in his book, ''Bustan-ul-Arifeen--The Garden Of The Gnostics'', Abu Zakariyya Muhyi'din Ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi, observed about following up evil with Good action, that Allah Ta'ala says, ''GOOD ACTIONS ERADICATE BAD ACTIONS''( Quran 11:114).
''Treat People Well'' because it is the fountain of virtues. Allah praised His Messenger, Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, for this exellent quality:''Indeed you are truly vast in character''(68:4) The sunnah of Allah in His creation is to make people need each other. They cannot do without mutual help. This along with the Command to be of Good character are embedded in this noble Hadith.
