| A huge plume of black smoke is rising over east London from a large fire on the site for the 2012 Olympics. The fire is in a warehouse and is being tackled by at least 15 appliances and 75 firefighters. Smoke is visible across London.
Scotland Yard has said it was not believed to be related to terrorism and no casualties had been reported. Sky News' Steve Dixon, from the edge of the Olympic site, said he had seen seven more fire engines racing to the scene. Access to the area was being blocked off by the police, he added, and the plume of smoke was easing.
Emma Brompton, who works for a film production company in Forest Gate, told Sky News she and work colleagues had run into the street.
"From our production office it's blackened the sky. There are a few sirens going off. It's blackened the sky. All you can see are the plumes of black smoke."
Another witness said he had not heard an explosion before seeing the smoke, which looked like diesel fuel burning.
The centre of the fire was in a disused building off Waterden Road due to be demolished as part of the 2012 Games. The Olympic Delivery Authority confirmed the fire was within the Olympic site.
"The fire is on the western edge of the Olympic Park on the site of an empty warehouse, behind the bus depot on Waterden Road.
"The warehouse is in the process of being demolished. The London Fire Brigade is on site and the ODA's site staff are working closely with them."
The north London railway line was closed between Dalston and Stratford because of the smoke above Hackney Wick station.
