| I came across this poem earlier today, and just had to post it for hamrawi, it's a mirror of his thoughts
_________________ “There is no worse calamity for knowledge and its people than when outsiders intrude. | Wow can you believe i translated that whole thing in one sitting? DI exclusive translation *duff rolls* Days have passed and a few nights since your absence my beloved, but in my time it's ages and years. Every moment without you i live unhappily, and every minute which passes in your absence is a torment. Verily without you i am an illusion, and away from you i am non-existent. My beloved why have you separated yourself from me without any word in advance? Oh why my red flower? And my green oasis, you leave my roses to wither. And my gardens to waste away, and my joy to be changed into sadness? Oh my beloved i am not able to divulge much. I am not able to speak much. I am much much saddened at your distance. I don't have the power to speak. Nor am i capable of smiling. My beloved, O you who brings peace to my heart. And who has imprisoned my heart and mind. And who is kept awake in my eyes. I beg you, return to me, return to me. Because i cannot bear your absence. And i cannot live without you. My beloved, where are you? Where are you? For verily i love you, i love you, i love you. So do not lengthen your silence and absence, i beg you. My beloved, i am calling and shouting painfully. So where are you?_________________ “There is no worse calamity for knowledge and its people than when outsiders intrude. They are ignorant, but presume to know. | The 'I love you' repeated three times put me off... Along with some other lines in there... it all sounds a bit exaggerated for my liking. It's sad I agree, but a bit much.. |

| I agree, I would be terrified to ever feel like that about a person. I think it's too too too much. I dunno, maybe because the pain and the hurt is raw things seem as if it's crazy. but it gives me the chills when I read it .. =s even a line.. like woah.. lol maybe because it's such an emotion filled poem. Well not the chills, makes my heart go funny. =s |

I was actually looking for the lyrics of ahmad bukhatirs "zawjati" nasheed, i think it was Nisaa that was looking for it, so while i was searching for it i came across this poem._________________ “There is no worse calamity for knowledge and its people than when outsiders intrude.
