Hate the one you hate to a limit

Excess is never liked and nothing good comes from it

It will make you like a child, putty in the hands

It will lead to the haram being halal and the lawful out of reach

Love will throw you into a river of despair

A never ending pursuit of happiness but there is no gold at the end of this rainbow

Constantly at someone’s beck and call

Thinking that they will love you back.

You won’t remember it but I’ll never forget.

You were everything I could have dreamed of.

Others were going crazy over the sight of you but not me

For me to was hard to believe you were so beautiful. So perfect

Oh Prophet of Allah!

The best of men

The best of creation

The best of the first and the last

Your heart so so pure

Your heart so so huge

Your heart so so caring

Your heart so so full of compassion

Words fail me my Beloved

But the tears cannot stop

One look at your face

That’s all I ask and I could die happy

How my eyes wish to fight with my soul over who misses you the most

You loved and were loved

You understood women when we have no chance

And he meets the loved ones in Paradise

And in it he speaks tenderly to the group of martyrs

He gazes at Paradise

Is it true? I touched the wind of bliss

And I left behind me the wind of estrangement

By Showkat Ali

In my life

I'm extremely busy

Career and big plans

Wife and kids

Chasing wealth and status

Respect and dignity

The Mujahideen fight

To restore Allah's right

Correct injustices

And make the world a better place

Not just for Muslims

But for all of humanity

Every day is a struggle

As I muddle through life

Balancing work and family

Leisure and pleasure

For me and my loved ones

No time for anything or anybody

Beauty In Beard

By Tushar Imdad-ul-Haque Bhuiya (12th March 2001)

Glorified be He who beautifies women with long locks of hair

And Men with long beards

There is beauty in the beard

Aye, there is beauty in the beard!

When the lion roars all the animals submit

For the lion is the king of the jungle

The lion with its glorious mane

Imagine your eyelids cut off and hot iron rods rammed into your eyes.

Imagine looking into the mouth of a huge snake, its mouth dripping with saliva as it wraps itself around your body, breaking your bones.

Imagine a hammer being taken to each of your toes one after the other.

Sadness...

Oh I’m so lost in misery now

No longer in denial

Unable to stay away

Chained, captivated by your presence

My soul tied to yours

A bond unbreakable

Inseparable, yet separated

Tears fall

Darkness shrouds like a veil of mourning

Thick and heavy jewels trapped on soft cheeks

Leaving tear-trails of regret as paths forgotten

Wounds unhealed, forever scarred by love

Rejection

Hurt and lost, all alone

A wounded soldier, lost and all alone

Adam (a.s) came down to the earth filled with shame,

He’d done wrong, repented, and did not complain,

For Shaytan had tricked him into committing a sin,

But Ar-Rahman showed mercy and would give him kin.

His descendants would be so divided,

By colour, faith and would be guided.

First messenger, first man,

He must spread Islam and repent,

To bring his people to heaven,

Was his only intent…

Armed only with assurance, sincere fear and hope in Allah;

Heart restless, yearning for some unknown desire

Unsatisfied with the illusions of the would around me

The once deceiving temptations no longer holding their appeal.

Mind rusted through decades of ignorance, rusted with long worn acceptance

Striving to yield some worthwhile knowledge with which to shine its dulled surface

Lift to your ear,

The creamy shell,

Its song may tell

Of strange ocean fantasies,

Of beautiful histories,

Of a rising sun bathed in gold

As the sea came to watch the magic unfold:

A garnet ball of blazing fire,

Burning with a deep desire.

Golden flames, swirling, dancing,

Ruby mist, sweet, is enhancing.

A delicate, floating, petal bed,

A fragranced cloud, ruby red.

Deepening to a gentle sea,

Powder blue, how can that be?

So brothers and sisters,

Come together and pray.

Pray for another breath,

Pray for another day.

Bloodshed, famine, does not cease,

Only with Him, do we find peace.

Battles are fought, blood is shed,

So much death is in this sea of red.

Yet here we sit, safe and proud,

Others scream in agony, scream so loud.

Screams drowned as their shells mash crowds,

Bombs crashing drown the sounds, it shrouds,

Covers the corpses, stifles their cries,

Watching your body die with no shame

Tears of rage and fury, overwhelming

Burning fiercely, terrifying

Black flames of death choking with fatal cough

Deception smeared black with foul sin

But a mountain full of sins will make the sinners realise,

How can everything have gone so wrong?

Before we were united, standing strong.

Wonder, as the bombs fall from the sky

Thinking, why are we so afraid to die?

Pleading, family murdered before your eyes,

Crying, crying coz the death tolls never cease to rise.

Heart cold, deaf as they scream,

Terrified, too scared to dream.

Gunfire, bullets tearing through your heart,

No! ...

Not long ago...

Not long ago I didn’t believe

Not long ago I sought reprieve

Not long ago I sinned and drank

Not long ago I saw in Hell I sank

Not long ago I was tempted by Shaytan’s false dreams

Not long ago I realized the devil only lies and schemes

Not long ago I went clubbing all night, drugged on a high

Not long ago I cried, best friend drugged out, knew from drugs you could die

Not long ago I watched TV, Shaytan’s fav toy, all day

Not long ...

Muslimah..

As-salaamu Alaikum wa Rahma tullahi wa bara kaatuhu:

Who is the true Muslimah?

Are you?

O Sisters of Islam...

Hear this call

Do not be of those who stumble and fall

Rise with your beauty of modesty

Guard your honour with humility

Smile with radiance of charity

Illuminated with hearts of tranquillity

Tongues wet with praises of piety

Soul blazing with noor of purity

Faith firm through suffering and calamity

Fighting for justice, no oppression, ...

Mount Hira

I struggle up your path, footsteps slow and true

The sky is vivid blue and I give salaams to you

Eyes lowered down filled with humility

Heart strong, bursting with sincerity

Others look, a glimpse, and see our piety

Allah knows, so we should be like the mountain

Obey God and never think to complain

Ego non-existent, from all desires refrain

The shoulder to lean on no matter what hardships may befall

Strong as rock, firm in faith, standing tall

Allah knows, ...

Martyrs

The enemy have weapons, deadly ammunition,

And like thunder come the army tanks.

The enemy expects total submission,

A shudder passes down the innocent ranks.

The enemy mean to slaughter this defenceless sea,

But these people, these Muslims, have unity.

The enemy imagine they’re scared, or filled with hate,

But in reality the Muslims patiently wait.

The enemy believe that fear smothers the air,

But these Muslims fear only Allah, they don’t despair.

Longing for Jannah

These emotions, which have blazed through my heart and soul,

So deep, igniting the greatest desire,

Coursing through my veins like blood,

This furnace of love is almost overwhelming,

The greatest of floods cannot hope to extinguish this fire.

Oh my lord! How I long to gain your eternal pleasure,

How I beg to be near! For this honour is a priceless treasure.

No other way to gain immortal paradise

Than by being near the Immortal One

Injustice:

Bystander…

O Silent Witness…

The media shows before our eyes, cries out for all to hear

Shows their faces, so innocent, filled, frozen with fear

Their haunting screams, silenced, fall on deaf ears, drowned out

As shells mash crowds, blown up, bombed, we hear them shout

We ignore their pleas, their pain, and eyes blind we hear their cry,

Hearts’ stone cold -no love- hearts’ rock hard as we watch them die.

Where’s the justice in this world of anarchy?
